Save Driving / Road Rage

There’s nothing like a long Trip Cross country, to teach you about Traffic Flow and speed control. If city Driving could emulate the above, accidents would drop to an astonishing level. your nerves would love you. Also your fellow Drivers would love you for not cutting them off within inches of calamity,  thus reducing Road Rage. On the  Highways  going Cross Country, most people use their signals, spaces themselves and don’t try to run you off the Road to get to their exit Ramp, further reducing Road Rage. you have been commuting this strip for  twenty years, yet you think you are Cute waiting for the last minute,  the last hundred feet to get in the proper Lane to make your exit, causing major Traffic Jams. Rightfully you should be in the proper Lane at least one Mile before you get to your Exit. The difference between a good Motorist and Piss Poor Driver is I position my Vehicle in the proper Lane two to three miles before my Exit, not worrying about squeezing anyone, putting a wet blanket on the Flames of Road Rage.

Driving in Texas was a refreshing Eye Opener for me. Rush hour Driving was a refreshing Breeze, no one in a hurry Driving like a Taxi Driver, or trying to make a Pizza Delivery while it’s still hot. It’s as if there were no Rush hour at five PM. The Traffic Flow and speed control was Fluid, the civility and courtesy was infinite.  In a place where everyone owns a six shooter, there better not be any Road Rage, there would be nothing but Dead Men behind the Wheel. The Civilized Driving I experienced in Texas should spread like a Virus across the country.  All the States that I have traveled in the N.E to the S.E. could take a lesson from Texas. In my neck of the woods, Tampa Florida, Road Rage is the norm. Everyone drive like a Taxi driver or a Ambulance Driver, break neck speeds for one Mile to address the next Stop Light. At the Stop sign no one stops Legally, they usually stop or pump their Brakes beyond the Sign, not before the Sign. Like a Drummer keeps Tempo, they can’t wait to take the Right of Way from you  at a Right on Red intersection. In Rush hour traffic no matter how well you weave Traffic, your E.T.A. is not going to be much better than mine following the Traffic Pattern.

The way many of you drive facilitates Road Rage, cutting people off in tight spaces, not signalling before you make your turn, driving with a B***h attitude like your Daddy built this Road specifically for you.  Still that doesn’t excuse Barbaric behavior behind the wheel, not all bad Drivers drive like a  Jackass intentionally,  some just can’t help themselves, they never took the time to learn, or no one ever took the time to teach them Road Suave. They say that the Lord watch over fools and Babies. But they also say that God bless those who try to help themselves. A Woman driving on the Pennsylvania Turnpike found that out about ten years ago. She inadvertently cut off a Tractor trailer,  the big Moron followed her for miles to extract respect, not taking into consideration that his vehicle weighed twenty eight Tons more than the Sedan she was driving.  The Murderous Driver ran the poor Woman on her way home to her family off the Road into a Tree, killing her instantly.  These are the People you share the Roadways with daily, so the next time you decide to cut someone off in tight quarters ask yourself  do I know the Monster behind the wheel. several years ago High Noon in Greenwich village New York city, a minor Fender bender in Rush hour traffic. The Driver of the Maserati got out of his car, Gun drawn in an execution stance,  shot and killed his fellow Motorist over a five hundred Dollars touch up paint job. Getting behind the wheel is forever a Life and Death situation, so the next time you are about to abandon Civility, think about the two victims of Road Rage among the many others.

Police arrest suspect in road rage killing

Police have arrested a Pennsylvania man suspected of fatally shooting an 18-year-old driver in a fit of road rage because, a prosecutor said, he “didn’t want her to merge into a lane of traffic.”

David Desper, 28, is charged with first- and third-degree murder, possession of an instrument of crime and reckless endangering, according to Philadelphia ABC affiliate WPVI. He surrendered to authorities around 2 a.m. Sunday, ending a three-state manhunt.

The shooting occurred during rush hour on Wednesday, as Bianca Nikol Roberson was returning home from a shopping trip for college clothes.

The teen and another driver started to merge into the same lane, “jostling for the position” on Route 100 in West Goshen Township, more than 30 miles from Philadelphia, said Michael Noone, first assistant district attorney for the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. Roberson’s vehicle veered from the roadway and crashed into a tree, police said in a statement.

But the officers who responded to the crash soon determined that the teen had been shot in the head, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was nowhere to be found.

“We’re doing everything we can to catch this suspect and bring him to justice,” Noone told The Washington Post on Friday.

West Goshen Township is at the southeastern tip of Pennsylvania, near the border with Delaware and New Jersey, so authorities searched for the suspect — described in initial reports as a white man between 30 and 40 years old in a red pickup truck — in three states.

The truck was last seen exiting Route 202 onto Paoli Pike.

Roberson had graduated from Bayard Rustin High School in West Chester, Pa., and was set to attend Jacksonville University. She had hoped to one day work for the FBI, according to WPVI.

“She was a good girl, honor roll student, looking forward to going to college,” her father, Rodney Roberson, told the news station.

He pleaded with the other driver to help close his daughter’s case.

“If you don’t even think it was your fault, and have a conscience, come forward and give us some closure and explain in your own words what happened,” he said, according to the news station.

While speaking to reporters on Thursday, Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan also directly addressed the other driver.

“To that man who fired that shot, turn yourself in now,” Hogan said. “Every second you are out there, you are only making this worse for yourself and making this worse for the family.

Drive To live

Green Key Road is one of my favorite places, the Road becomes a Peninsula at the end. Lush with Nature Preserves, it is a place where I go to get away from the hustle and bustle of Living, a place where I go to find inspiration. It is this type of Living I had in mind when I bought my Car. That’s why I appreciate my Car and treat it with the utmost of respect. Not to impress anyone that it is a Technological wonder that says good by when I no longer need it’s service, or the fact that I can take it up to one seventy. Or that I am one of the best Motorist on the roadway, its about getting it from point A to point B in one piece. To accomplish that, you need to follow Road safety. Signaling is not an option, not an occasional thing you do at your discretion. Traveling in packs side by side and tailgating is a foolish way of Driving, and is unsafe.

Excessive Speed Kills, if not it causes mangling of fine Contours, ten M.P.H over the speed limit keeps you away from the Herds. It also keeps you from developing Points on your License. The way that I love Driving, losing my License would be equivalent to losing my wife, because my Car is my other Woman. Without your Driving privileges you can’t go to the Places I go to forget about Life for a while. At that point Life comes cascading down on you like an Avalanche, no Job no social Life, worse no Freedom of the Road, which to me is like Freedom of Speech. When I get behind the wheel the only thing on my mind is the operation of the Vehicle, also Music to keep me calm cool and focused, not to distract me. In Text Book talk Focusing on the Task is Tantamount, taking your Eyes off the Road for one second depending on the rate of speed can be Deadly. One day while Traveling from Pennsylvania to N.Y I pulled over at a Rest Area, getting back on the Highway rolling at less than two miles P.H, Tuning the Radio and not paying attention, I jumped the Curb, damaging my Rim and Tire. Two seconds that’s all it took and Baam! If I was traveling at sixty and hit the Curb the Car would have flipped. No One goes out looking for Accidents, its the things that we do that creates them. My car allows me to Text from the Dashboard, to some People that’s like pointing a loaded gun while they are sneezing. Today’s Automobiles are so Technologically equipped accident statistics should be dropping, but they keep going up. That’s a reflection on the Drivers. The original concept of this Website was to focus on Safe driving but I got distracted . Distraction behind the wheel can change your whole life.

There are other factors such as Driving Impaired. Precious was a Childhood friend, one Night she went to a party, coming Home she chose to ride with a Drunk, that was the last decision she made on this Earth, only nineteen. The Driver hit a light pole, she hit the Windshield, the Driver in a state of near Comatose suffered not a scratch. Overconfidence also Kills, five young Boys out on the Town on a Saturday night. Gary and Owen both twenty, both owners of brand new Cars. Charles and I both seventeen year old riding with Gary. We went to a party, everyone had no less than two mixed Drinks, the Drivers had three or four. While bouncing from one party to another, racing at speed of up to one hundred and twenty miles per hour. We did not come up on the exit Ramp, it came up on us, not enough distance to brake properly, we entered the Curbed Ramp at ninety mph. Our Car navigated the Ramp on two wheels, without my clawing myself from making contact with the steering wheel we would all be Dead. How ignorant of young people to be so adventurous, not taking Driving seriously.

Adults who don’t follow Road Rules are equally Dangerous, commuting a hundred miles a day for twenty five years and waiting until you are a half a mile from your exit Ramp to get in the proper lane is beyond Stupid. Being compressed with Steel and Glass is not my idea of going Peacefully. Attitudes behind the wheel is childish and immature, many times people who cut me off within two Cars length, I later pass exchanging information or in a Ditch. Good Driving is a state of Mind like Chess, to each action there is a reaction. If you have been Driving for fifty years, and you never bothered to learn the right way, you don’t know what you are doing, that makes you Dangerous. Once I entered an eight mile incline, only to realize on two inches of snow that I had no Brakes. If I had panicked, I would not be here to tell you that I used my emergency Brakes, gently applying and releasing along with downshifting, eight miles to the bottom. If that’s not Driving to Live, I don’t know what is, there were bottomless drops to my Left all the way. I didn’t care if the transmission bursts in Flames, I was bent on Living. Finally, Driving is my Passion and that is why I Drive to Live.

I Drive to Live

Happy Motoring

First and foremost I must tell you, the format of this Website is not what I originally had in mind. The present format is the Brainchild of my website Designer, my original plan was to develop a website dedicated to safe Driving. Not that I have any regrets, I enjoy this format, and from my statistics I see that you do. You must understand that driving a fine  Automobile is one of my Passions, driving them in a safe and contentious manner is another. My love of the Automobile equate my appreciation of Beauty and Art. Why? Because the Automobile is a beautiful work of Art and Technology. The flawless Air Brushing of it’s metal Body, the intricate composition of its interior design, the The sheer Awesomeness of Technology. I get in strap myself in, turn the ignition, press a button and a voice tells me “say a command ” now do you see why my wife is Jealous of my love.

With all the fine work that was put in the creation of this Beautiful intricate Beast, why would you not have respect for it and drive it responsibly. In Heaven’s name can you help me to understand why so many fellow Drivers drive like a Jackass. Total disregard for human Life , their Driving Privilege, my thirty five thousand Dollar investment  and the fine work of Art. Most importantly my goal is saving Lives, Life is an ongoing learning process, so is Driving. My goal is to become the ultimate Motorist, knowing your moves before you make them, through total anticipation and to be totally focused.

When I am behind the wheel I am always looking out for those less skilled than I am.  Astonishingly courteous with civility even to the Jackass weaving Rush hour traffic, going nowhere in a hurry. Most of all the old guy who should not even be driving, but he needs his mobility to go to the Doctor and elsewhere. When you are driving it is your responsibility to look out for your fellow Drivers and not assuming that everyone behind the wheel is as skilled as you are. Better yet that they are Physically, Mentally or Emotionally up to the task. Now that you have the fundamentals of being a great  Motorist run with the Ball. Sad to say ninety percent of the Drivers on the road are not good  motorists.
