If you are traveling at a high rate of speed no on should be Tailgating, if they are slow down and change lane. If an emergency stop become necessary you could loose more than just Paint.
The Life You Save
Turned on the News this morning, Tractor Trailer collides with Van, at least one fatality. This occurs on a daily basis all over the world. Not singling out Tractors, it happens with Cars,Pick-ups, Motor Cycles Pedestrians and School Buses. Attention fellow Drivers, wake up and pay attention these aren’t statistics these are Flesh and Blood. These aren’t chance occurances they are created situations, accidents you set up by driving in an oblivious state of mind, and the guy in front and back shares your mindset. The average Drivers can’t tell when their Brakes are bad, their steering wheel tank needs fluid, their Rack-n-pinion is bad, their car need front end work………
Six months ago on a busy street a Pedestrian performed a mindless act by crossing in the middle of the Block, instead of the controlled intersection. A Driver operating the vehicle mindlessly, a Mother pushing a Stroller with her infant son and a five years old walking across the Blvd. All were crudely awakened when the Car slammed into the three some, killing the Infant. There were no Tire markings, so you do the math. Mindlessly? Yeah. Mother and Child scarred for life, damaged physical and emotionally. The Driver wasn’t charged, but I bet my life they weren’t paying attention . Do I need to elaborate, Texting, talking on the Cell, messing with the Radio doing any of a hundred things except focusing on the task of Driving. I leave the House five thirty every day to cover fifty Miles stretch of horrendous Traffic to get to work by eight. Other Drivers don’t share my mindset, they leave their homes late and wreck havoc on the traffic, throwing caution in the wind, if someone makes a mistake consequences are devastating. One morning navigating this poorly designed Roadway US 19 I came upon a motor Cycle laid down, did not see the Rider, however I noticed a figure covered with a Tarp………

US19 is the most challenging Road that I have ever encountered. You have miles of Metropolitan driving, speed limits from forty five to fifty five, shopping and Business on both sides. As far as I am concerned the greatest contribution to accidents on 19 comes from looking for street numbers on a four Lane Road, where everyone one thinks that they are a Racecar driver. Contentious Drivers are far and few. Everyone is in a hurry, if you take your Eyes off the Road for one second, the consequences could be astronomical. No one ever heard of looking out for the other Guy on 19. Most importantly you have people who exceede the speed limit by as much as 60 additional miles in a forty five mph zone. One night coming home I observed a Car fifteen feet above ground level impelled by a light Pole snapped in half. The Pole entered where the Driver sat. For a vehicle to become airborne like that they had to have exceeded a hundred. That’s just one more that won’t make it Home using US19.
